SAFE & UNSAFE GARDENING
Most dogs are not going to chew on plants but some, particularly young dogs, do. Be mindful of the types of plants that you have in your garden and that are harmful to pet. If you see that Boston Terrier or French Bulldog has chewed on one of the toxic plants, you'll be far more likely to get the medical attention that your dog needs.

Gardening is a relaxing hobby, loved by so many people and we all know our pets also love spending time in the garden. Creating a pet friendly garden isn't all that difficult to do and is worth the effort.  Very frequently flower shops are very helpful and have on their tags information about the plants such as how to water and how much sunshine is needed, but they hardly every advise us if the plant is safe to have around pets and what to do if your pet chews it up.

HOW DANGEROUS IS A TOXIC PLANT?
We can catagrorize plants as "safe", “toxic" and Poisonous Plants.”
Safe Plants: Can be chewed or consumed in some way without any ill effects..
Toxic Plants: If not consumed in a large ammount it will not be dangerous to your pet, but can cause your pet a stomach ache, extreme disconfort and severe diarrhea.
Poisonous Plants: When your pet consumes or chews them, will actually harm your pet or do significant damage to their body.

Tthere are hundreds if not thousands of flowers and shrubs available for planting, it would be impossible to go through them all but we should find some classics.

Here is a list of few popular plants/flowers that are "Pet Friendly". Just pick your favorites and happy gardening!
